Volunteer
What to ExpectAll volunteer positions are subject to application review, identity verification, reference checks, and successful completion of an approved criminal background check before the volunteer may work with program participants. Certain roles may require additional screening, training, certifications, driving-record verification, proof of insurance, or professional credentials. Approval to volunteer is determined by the Dreams Youth Diversion Program, and completion of the screening process does not guarantee placement.
Once you fill out your volunteer application, you may submit your application, ID, signed volunteer agreement, code of conduct, and liability waiver to admin@dreamsathleticcenter.com. The entire process may take 2-3 weeks. If selected, you will be subject to a brief orientation.
❋ Academic TutorAssists youth with homework, reading, mathematics, study skills, and other academic needs identified through their Individualized Success Plan.
❋ Assistant Boxing CoachSupports boxing instruction, conditioning activities, equipment setup, and gym safety under the supervision of an approved head coach.
❋ Social Media and Content CreatorCreates engaging, mission-aligned content for the program’s approved social media platforms, including photographs, short videos, graphics, captions, program updates, and event promotions. Helps maintain a consistent posting schedule, responds to general engagement as authorized, and protects the privacy and dignity of every youth and family. Content involving minors may only be captured or published with documented parent or guardian consent and final staff approval.
❋ Community Service Project CoordinatorHelps organize safe, age-appropriate community service opportunities that allow youth to practice responsibility, teamwork, and community involvement.
Handles outreach and scheduling of community classes.
